Isometric Illustrations

In 2020, I led a series of isometric illustrated posters for the Racing Point F1 Team, created to deliberately move away from the predictable visual language that dominates Formula 1.

The Challenge
Race posters in F1 often focus on hero drivers or the cars. The challenge was to create something that felt distinctive and ambitious, while still feeling authentic to Racing Point and relevant to the sport as a whole.

Creative Approach
I took a broader view of Formula 1, building each poster around the entire grid rather than a single team. The isometric format gave us the freedom to create rich, layered worlds packed with detail and hidden easter eggs, nods to racing history and moments specific to each race location. The work was designed to be shareable and encourage fans to explore deeper.

Result
The series landed extremely well. Fans and team members alike engaged deeply with the posters, sharing finds and feeding back ideas. It quickly became one of Racing Point’s strongest creative outputs of the season, and a clear departure from the usual F1 posters.
